Just had a bad eyelash extension job?
The images show the outcome of an unprofessional and bad eyelash extension treatment recently done in a local salon. Just five days after application, and not wanting to return to the salon in question, the client contacted us for advice, requesting swift removal of the eyelash extensions as they were causing discomfort.
Long, thick 0.20 diameter lashes had been applied in clusters to the client’s natural lash (an absolute no, no in the eyelash extension profession), with some clusters sticking to other synthetics and natural lashes causing stress on the natural lashes and tightness and discomfort along the clients lash line. Some of the clumps had fallen off due to the weight, breaking the natural lash at the lash line. The client reported that she had shortened the length of the synthetic lashes with scissors to stop the lashes drooping at the eyelash corners.
It took us 60 minutes to remove the lashes (usual removal time of 20 minutes) as the adhesive remover couldn’t easily penetrate the dense clumps of glue. The client’s lashes are damaged with some broken off at the lash line and others shortened by 50%. Due to the amount of adhesive remover used the client’s eyelashes and lid were washed gently with warm water and flushed with a saline solution after the removal job.
The client is returning after her natural lashes have recovered for a free assessment consultation.
